Lainie + Joseph { just married + Harriet Himmel Theater, West Palm Beach, FL}

Lainie, Joseph and I have had a very special journey together. Besides documenting this couples’ big day, I also documented the weeks following up to it. For most brides, the weeks following up to their wedding would consist of tying up last minute details. However for Lainie, the weeks following up to her wedding day involved shaved her head, getting a wig, and also receiving a second round of intense chemotherapy. Joseph and Lainie’s incredible story about Lainie’s fight with cancer inspired me to show all couples that the most important thing you can really have in life is each other. The story went viral on Facebook, and the Today’s Show contacted me to featured the photographs online. The Today’s Show, MSN.com, and MSNBC.com all featured Lainie and Joseph’s message. When the story was published on the Today’s Show (today.com), it was the number one viewed story online. It was the top three of the week. Aside from the incredible press that the three of us received from the documentary, Lainie and Joseph’s wedding day was just amazing. No details mattered to this couple and their families. All that mattered was the two of them were able to exchange their vows in front of family and friends, and of course their dog Stella (who was also present.) Looking back at their big day I can’t help but smile. Besides the fact that their cake cutting (or bacon cupcake eating) had me laughing to tears, I have also gotten to know Lainie and Joseph and Lainie’s family on a more personal level, and it has been such a wonderful experience. Here is a little sneak peak of their big day.
