Madeline and Daniel { just married + Temple Sinai, Hollywood, FL)

After a kick butt e-session in LA at the SLS Hotel, I was pumped to see my cross-country couple again! I think that the most emotional and beautiful ritual to take place during a wedding is a traditional Jewish bedeken. During this ceremony, the groom is escorted by his father and the bride’s father, the rabbis and him friends, to his bride who is waiting for him on her “throne”.  The men leading the groom’s procession to his bride dance and sing in front of him. Once the groom is near his bride, the men split to the sides so that the groom and bride are facing each other. Traditionally, this is the first time the groom see his bride. Imagine the anticipation of the bride and the women when they hear the men singing.  In it also traditional for the couple not to see one another for a few days  leading up to this  moment. In Madeline and Daniel’s case, it was seven days. The energy and emotion that takes place during this ceremony is unreal! People laugh, cry, sing, and dance – all the wonderful things that we as humans do to celebrate. It is truly one of my favorite things to photograph. Madeline and Daniel’s event did not slow down from there. Though I consider the traditional bedeken the climax of the story, the energy just did NOT stop at this wedding. We got so many crazy-fun candid shots during the Hora and throughout the evening. My bride and groom had so much expression throughout their entire event, and we enjoyed capturing it all. Here is a little sneak peak.
